The Toyota Highlander drove very well and handled the trip without any mechanical issues. Overall, the vehicle performed reliably, and I had no problems with its operation.
That said, the vehicle could have been cleaner and better maintained cosmetically. The interior seats had multiple visible stains and spots, and one of the seatbelt door panels was loose. I documented these issues at pickup and notified the owner, along with the pre-existing exterior bumps and scratches.
Overall, the Highlander was mechanically reliable and served us well for the trip, but the cleanliness and interior condition could definitely be improved before the next rental.
