This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had, and honestly, it put my safety at risk.
From the moment we got on the road, it was clear the vehicle was not properly maintained. The alignment was severely off, making it difficult to keep the car steady, and the tire pressure warning light came on while we were driving to San Antonio. When I reached out to the owner, she dismissed the issue and claimed she had never experienced that before.
Things got even worse when it started raining. The car had absolutely no traction, which was terrifying while driving in wet conditions. When we arrived at our Airbnb and inspected the tires more closely, we realized why — the tires were completely bald, with the tread visibly worn down to the point of being unsafe.
We immediately contacted the owner to let her know we did not feel safe driving the vehicle and asked if she could arrange to have the tires replaced. She refused to help and instead tried to blame me, claiming I somehow caused the damage — which is completely false. The condition of the tires was clearly pre-existing and should never have been allowed on a rental vehicle.
This situation turned what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation into a stressful and ongoing nightmare. Renting out a vehicle in this condition is not only irresponsible but dangerous. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this host at all costs. Your safety is not taken seriously.

I’m sorry you feel that way. The vehicle was serviced by a Chevrolet dealership the day before your trip, including an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, and tire inspection. All tires measured 6/32” tread, and there were no warning lights before pickup. After the vehicle was returned, the tires were significantly damaged and the check engine light was on, resulting in costly repairs. I stand by the documented condition of my vehicle before your trip.
