Unfortunately, I would not recommend this rental. From the beginning, the vehicle had a very strong cigarette/smoke odor that was difficult to tolerate. The car also appeared to need a thorough professional detailing.
The biggest issue occurred while we were on our way to a funeral. My brother was sitting in the backseat, and when he got out of the vehicle, his shirt had yellow, foul-smelling smoke stains on it from the seat. He had to purchase a new shirt just minutes before the funeral service began, which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient during an already difficult day.
There were also concerns with the condition of the vehicle itself. The brakes were noticeably squeaky and sounded as though they may need to be serviced or replaced, and the steering wheel was unusually stiff.
Between the heavy smoke odor, cleanliness of the interior, and concerns about the vehicle’s maintenance, I did not feel this rental met the standard I expected from a Turo vehicle. I would not rent this vehicle again or recommend it to others.

Erica, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Over 20 guests have rented this vehicle without similar complaints. I’m with the car now and detect no smoke odors. Unfortunately, some guests violate Turo’s no-smoking policy. The vehicle recently received new front and rear brakes and rotors, and any squeaking may require lubrication. I wish you had contacted me during your trip so I could address your concerns promptly. I take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and reliable vehicles.
Car was exactly as pictured. Easy host, everything explained easily. I had to change my reservation 3 times and was able to do so without any issues at all. The host replies very quickly also. Thanks!
