I am extremely disappointed with the communication manner in which this situation was handled. Throughout our interaction, I gave the space for the host Stephen to correct his tone and it still remained nasty and unprofessional. I have rented before from him and other hosts whom never asked me to submit 15 photos of exterior and 15 photos of interior.
I submitted my driver license photo hours before checking and he waited until I arrived to approve the photo and requested the photos before releasing the lock box code. As we know in basic communication skills it’s not what you say it’s how you say it.
Unfortunately, his responses were rude, unprofessional, and inconsistent with the level of customer service expected on the Turo platform.
As a guest, I expect clear, respectful communication and fair treatment. Instead, I have experienced behavior that I believe violates the standards of professionalism that Turo expects from its hosts. I have retained copies of our communications and will be submitting them to Turo for review.
I am requesting that all further communication remain professional and focused solely on resolving the matter at hand. I do not wish to engage in hostile or disrespectful exchanges.
