Pick up and everything was great oil light came on had to add oil but other than that and overall was great and easy

Enjoyed our trip, pick up was easy and conveniently located. However, there there are some things to consider before renting from them, because another review also mentioned these issues:

Cleanliness was poor. The outside was clean but the inside was meh. Which was fine, it didn’t need to be pristine but there were spots that were sticky, dusty, or clearly hadn’t been wiped down and there was a handful of trash in the pocket behind the drivers seat that I found.

Maintenance: Before I left for my trip I informed the host that the vehicle was 600 miles past due for an oil change. This was indicated by the mileage of the next service due that was on the sticker on the drivers side windshield. I reached out to the owner and he dismissed my concerns and explained to me how oil changes and full synthetic oil works. Thanks, but I didn’t need that nor did it help the situation. I rented the car for a week and I knew I would put more than 2,000 miles on it (past the “extended life” of full synthetic oil). But the owner showed no concern so we drove anyways and found ourselves in Philly when the “low oil” light came on. Sure enough, it was nearly bone dry. So I had to purchase more oil (in which the owner never offered to reimburse me for). If the owner would have just been honest with me from the beginning, I would’ve taken it to get the oil change here in Chattanooga and not have to worry about running out of oil more than 700 miles from home. This is a high mileage car (over 160k miles) and taking those chances can seriously damage the vehicle. Also had several issues with the lift gate getting stuck. Had to spend an hour looking at the manual and scouring the internet on how to fix since the customer service I received the first time I reached out was very unhelpful.

Like I said, we had a good trip and did appreciate the opportunity to rent this car, but the customer service was not half of what I think anyone deserves and the attention to detail wasn’t there. I’m not saying you shouldn’t rent from them, just simply informing. Thanks!

Thank you for voicing your concerns. I’m sorry that the inside of the vehicle was not clean to your standards. I have shared this information with our cleaning team and provided some coaching as well. In regards to the oil change, we take a lot of pride in keeping our vehicles well maintained. We put full synthetic oil in all of our vehicles every 5000 miles like clockwork. This vehicle was not due for an oil change for another 2000 miles. I can assure you of that.
