Overall, I had a good experience with this rental. The host was very communicative and, most importantly, transparent from the beginning. Before the rental, she let me know that the previous renter had returned the vehicle with a cigarette smoke smell, which I really appreciated because there were no surprises when I picked it up.
The smoke smell was definitely noticeable at first and lingered for a little while, but fortunately it gradually faded and eventually was no longer an issue during the rental.
Aside from that, the vehicle drove well and I had no mechanical issues or concerns whatsoever. It got me where I needed to go without any problems, and the host’s honesty and communication throughout the process were appreciated.
I’m giving the experience 4 out of 5 stars primarily because of the initial smoke odor, but I also want to be fair and emphasize that the host made me aware of the situation ahead of time and handled it very professionally. Overall, it was a positive experience.
