Car was perfect. Great host, very understanding and flexible. The color of the car is great for finding it. Highly recommended

Thank you pleasure to host :)

Erik was amazing to work with. This car is a great ride for roaming around beautiful Camarillo and surrounding beach towns.

I was able to pick the car up after car rental issues at the airport which saved me so much stress and time.

I will be renting with him again.

Thank you!

Thank you pleasure to host :)

BE CAREFUL! Host is very unprofessional and hostile.

I regularly use Turo and normally pickup my vehicles at LAX once my flight has landed. Usually take a shuttle to the parking lot where I pickup my Turo vehicle in an enclosed parking lot. Key in vehicle. No physical contact with host.

This Turo experience was unfortunately completely different. The 1st time I rented the red Fiat from this host there were some red flags about his communication. Overall it was enough to dismiss and move on.
I decided to rent from him again out of convenience. I had family that was able to pick me up from LAX. And renting from Camarillo location would be convenient.

Host was very irritated I was not at at pickup location at exact pickup time. (Never been an issue before at LAX) I’m learning I definitely prefer picking up my vehicle at LAX as it’s more professional and even more laid back.

My family picked me up from LAX and dropped me off in Camarillo to pickup this FIAT. Unfortunately I took a nap because I was exhausted from traveling. When I woke up I realized they took a detour and made me late to picking up the vehicle in Camarillo.

Host also sends multiple messages bugging for you to upload your ID info 24hrs in advance. It’s just annoying to worry about when you’re already focused on other travel details before your flight.

LAX hosts are way more flexible and don’t mind you uploading your ID info until you’re picking up your vehicle. This host messages you often asking you to upload photo id info days in advance.

Host threatened to cancel my ride. I was so confused because I regularly use Turo often! And this had not happened before. Host referenced a 2 hour policy to pickup from reserved pickup time. I’d never heard of that policy before. But now I know. Host gave me the keys.
Do keep in mind that phone service is terrible in pickup location so it took awhile to submit photos to the app.

When it came time to drop off the vehicle, I was trying to makeup for being late by dropping off the vehicle early. Instead of 11:30pm, I messaged host at 10pm that I’d be heading over to drop off vehicle. He read my messages but did not respond. Waited from 10:30-11:30pm for him to meet me to give him the key. By 11:30 realizing He wouldn’t answer my calls or messages. I got in contact with Turo. Turo’s policy said host has an extra 30 minutes after pickup to show up. So we waited another 30 minutes until midnight. Per the Turo policy the driver is responsible for the vehicle until exchange is complete. By 11:45pm I got in contact with Turo customer service, they said I was good to leave at midnight. Turo told me to keep the key fob and mail it to the host once he responds with a mailing address. I messaged host that I was leaving the location. And will mail the key fob. The app showed he read my messages.

The next day, (day of my flight) enjoying my last few hours with family, Host BLOWS UP MY PHONE. All of a sudden he wanted to talk now. Threatening me that he’s going to take legal action if I don’t respond. If I don’t give him the key fob.

I wanted to rid myself of this hostile person, his threatening messages. I told him to meet me at the Camarillo Police Department to get the key fob. We exchanged there.

I don’t even like writing negative reviews because I prefer to be down with the negative experience. However this was insane. And I would want to be warned. Especially for women, please be careful since pickup is in a parking lot with terrible cell service.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOST!!!!!! Terrible, frustrating and stressful experience.

Showed up to pick up vehicle nearly 2 hours late from scheduled pick up time with great deal or aggressive attitude

Dropped of vehicle nearly 2 hours earlier and decided to take vehicle keys with her

Multiple attempts to reach guest no response until I sent message that if I don’t get response by end of day I will be escalating matter to police department as it’s a very serious matter to have keys of vehicle you do not own and no responding to message

Magically she responded :)
Thank you !

Everything was perfect. Great Experience
