Bargain car for bargain price. This is a great deal if you are staying local. There is heavy, mechanical sounds coming from the car. Whenever you get on the interstate, this car definitely needs some work done. Also, the images in the profile do not reflect the current state of the exterior of the car where there is lots of peeling and fatigue on the paint. The interior was very nice and clean, and the host made it very easy to use. I would book with this host again, but I would not take this on a longer road trip.

The trunk had good space, the pickup was smooth and host was helpful and communicative. But overall I can’t recommend this car. I’ve rented 13-year-old Turos before, but the lack of upkeep on this car made it just not worth the price and my 2 hour drive to Hudson in this car was loud, bumpy, stressful, and smelled like cigarettes. The peeling, scratched exterior and cracked windshield need repair. It would make sense if this rental was cheaper than others in the area, so I recommend lowering the rental price to better match expectations. I’m sorry I had to write this negative review, it was just my experience.

Pickup and lockbox process was very easy and convenient. Just a heads-up though—the car’s engine makes quite a bit of noise while driving, and it’s not in the best condition overall. That said, for the price and location, it gets the job done.
