I been using turo for years now a i never rented a car and within 30 to 40 mins start smelling weed smoke cigarettes smoke pet urine or something along those lines and so many air fresheners to block the horrible smell once the ac went on i had to drive home with a horrible headache, i messaged the host not sure why it didn't go through never had any issues in the rentals before this so I didn't know to contact turo i thought I was the host I was supposed to contact again my 1st time with having a horrible rental to the point i only had it for the weekend with 400 miles to drive and it smelled so badly I legit drove it from pick up until that smell kicked in and home leaving 337 miles i paid for to go to waste and ended up taking my own car out of town which I use turo rental when I don't want the miles on my car, and then return it 4 hours early. I tried to extend it thinking it can have my boyfriend drop it off but that wasn't allowed because I didn't want to get back in the car. I think it's a horrible service this host is doing because they are not honest and after they received my message about the smell and how many air fresheners they needed to try and control it never heard back. I would never use them again they really should clean that car with professional help or take it down i feel bad for the next person who rents this car. I even scrubbed the seats and stuff and nothing. Very unprofessional

Unfortunately, the car had a very strong pet urine odor that was noticeable as soon as I got inside. The smell was overwhelming and made the entire ride uncomfortable. A rental vehicle should be thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next guest, and this car did not meet that expectation. I would not rent this vehicle again unless the odor is professionally treated and completely removed.
