Host commication was ok. We rented the Q7 for 12 days, 2,400 miles. When we first got in the car the oil change / service reminder was coming on after the 2nd day, or around 400 miles. We noticed a loud humming sound in the front end , this made the ride loud and annoying. On the 8th day the low oil warning indicator came on, I had to add a quart of oil after verifying the brand and weight with the host. Another area of concern was the breaks were squeaking and grinding in reverse. Overall the car drove fairly well, just was not maintained as well as I would expect for a rental.

Thank you for the feedback. The oil expense was reimbursed. The vehicle was clean, well maintained, and odor-free before the rental. We were not notified of the humming noise during the trip; had we known, we could have offered a vehicle swap. The brakes were fairly new, and we determined the noise was caused by a stone lodged against the brake components. This issue is currently being addressed. We take maintenance and guest safety seriously and appreciate the feedback.

David’s car was great for our family of 5 (with three larger teens in second row) and plenty of room for our luggage. It drives well and has good gas mileage compared to other SUVs we’ve rented and was quite comfortable. We especially appreciated the seat AC during the mini MT heat wave and the teens loved the panoramic sunroof for viewing Yellowstone wildlife!
