Some context for future guests: the RAV4 is properly cleaned between every rental, and before your trip it also received a full interior shampoo and professional ozone treatment to fully remove odor left by a previous guest who violated the no-smoking policy — so the car was given extra care, not less. The rough feel when it restarts after sitting idle is the factory auto stop/start eco feature working as designed; it saves fuel and can be switched off with a dash
