I want to share one important concern for future renters: a dashcam and a backup camera are not the same thing. While both may serve safety and vehicle protection purposes, the dashcam in this vehicle made me feel uncomfortable because it appeared to monitor activity inside the car. As a business owner and a very private person, I highly value my privacy, so knowing that conversations and movements could potentially be recorded throughout the rental was unsettling.
I believe renters should be clearly informed about any interior-facing recording devices before the trip begins so they can make an informed decision.
That being said, I want to give credit where it’s due. The vehicle was very clean, nicely prepared, and well-maintained. The host did an excellent job ensuring the car was ready for pickup, and the overall condition of the vehicle met my expectations. Aside from my concerns regarding the dashcam, the rental experience was positive.
The dash cam was set up by the dealership which wasn’t nothing I did. The purpose of the dash cam is for car wreck nothing get record unless an accident happen
