The car was great overall and got us where we needed to go without any mechanical issues, breakdowns, warning lights, or surprise “adventure moments,” so definitely a win there. The only real downside was that the car came with a very strong recreational aroma that seemed to have permanently bonded with the interior. No matter how many windows we rolled down or how much fresh air we tried to circulate, the smell remained the unofficial fifth passenger on the trip.
At first we thought maybe it would fade after a few minutes… then a few hours… then we eventually accepted that the smell had signed a long-term lease agreement with the vehicle. Some members of our group found it more “memorable” than others, but it definitely became a recurring topic of conversation for the entire drive.
Other than the surprise hotbox nostalgia built into the rental package, the car itself was reliable and worked perfectly fine.
