The night before my trip I get a message the car I rented is not available (apparently it was stolen)however I have a 2024 Kia Soul. I was not happy to say the least however myself never using this service didn't know I could just book another car. 2026 Nissan SUV compared to a 2024 KIA Soul was a HUGE difference getting my elderly mother in and out which is why I wanted an SUV. She told me oh you should be fine it's a comparable car. With that said I said ok! It was literally the night before our trip I don't want to mokey around and end up with no car. Got to the airport from the first minute of trying of get my Mom in the car I knew the height was going to be a long week! I rented a 2026 Nissan and ended up in 2024 Kia Soul which we ended up taking to Universal and Disneyland. Thank God that trip was just my husbandand I. The car was so loud and uncomfortable. Jocelyn was great but I feel alittle bait and switched! My Mom only got in that car 4 times there is a huge height difference. I feel like I should not have to pay the same rate for a 2026 Nissan Rouge and a KIA Sol 2024. I would have NEVER rented such a small car. My Mom literally needs to just slide into the front seat in this car it couldn't be done. Like I said Jocelyn was great but the car makes me not ever want to use Turo again if the type of bait and switch happens with no money off, no I'm sorry etc....BTW my Mother is 92 and this trip meant everything to her as we we're here to see my sister. I'm honestly not trying to sound like a snot the car was clean, got good gas mileage and was in good shape for a 2024 but shouldn't cost the same!
I do apologize for the inconvenience although it is NOT my fault that the vehicle was stolen I did mention if you’d like me to change you out a vehicle I had available on the same days you wanted or if you wanted a refund & you agreed the Kia soul would be fine and agreed to it. I sent you pictures and everything and you were ok with it. Also, you had seven days to let me know that the vehicle wasn’t adequate for you I could have just gave you a refund.
