I had my reservation for 5pm. The host messaged me less than an hour before had that the person who currently was using the car had not yet returned it. They shouldn’t have agreed to the reservation when the person using it was hours past their deadline and hadn’t returned it. I ended up having to wait for nearly 2 hours at a Steak N’ Shake for the person to bring me the car. Now I’ve been texting this third party person to please bring me the car and she’s being very rude and hardly responsive. When I finally got the car it was filthy and had 20 miles left on it. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I got a ticket because the registration on the car was expired, which I fully intend to have him pay as I don’t think I should be responsible for the $240 ticket. The car itself was great, but the overall experience was anything but easy.
I’m really sorry about what happened. I started texting you as soon as I found out about the last-minute booking. Turo automatically accepted the booking—it wasn’t my intention to accept it without being able to deliver the trip. Again, I sincerely apologize for the delay.
