This was my first time renting an E.. Based on relatives' experiences, I expected it would be a cheaper way to get around TX for 10 days. Not so. This particular model only holds bout 150 miles of charge at a time, and the battery depleted fast if driving over 50mph with AC on. This describes almost all our driving on the trip and I had to charge the battery 7 times. Each charge took an hour at a 'fast' charging station and 4-6 hours at a Level 2 one. This was highly inconvenient for someone with younger children. I suspect a Tesla or other model would hold charges longer. Other than that, the car had good pick up and cooled off quickly. The car had some pet hair in it when we picked it up and a strong cleaning smell that required us to roll down the windows for several hours after pick up. Communication with the host was ok...twice we did not get a response but we were both having challenges with the Turo app which might explain why. The other times I contacted Gregg we received fast replies.
