Nice car for a good price. The value is good however there are some minor cosmetic issues and the speakers are starting to get blown out. We had to put the bass down in the audio section to avoid vibration in the sound.

Absolute nightmare Turo experience. Do not rent this car. It has major engine issues. We have rented from this host before (brand new 4 Runner, so no issues) and it went smoothly, but this could not have been more miserable. Started noticing issues with the car about 40 mins into the trip. Brushed it off as it was kind of intermittent, but kept getting worse and worse the following day until the car literally wouldn't drive. Host pretty much just told us, can't help you, call Turo Roadside Assistance and start the process. First, Turo has THE WORST customer service of any company on earth. I'm stuck with a broken down car for the three days of parents weekend, to see my son, and Turo tells me I can't rent a replacement car until the broken car is picked up by the tow truck, but they don't know when the tow truck is going to come. That absolutely was not an option for me, so I had to Uber to the airport and rent a car from Avis. Meanwhile, I received calls from 4 different tow companies asking me where the car was. One of the companies finally picked it up the following day. Then when I called Turo, asking for the trip to be refunded, they said they couldn't refund the trip until the car was back at the two truck lot. I told them that the previous Turo representative that I called told me it was already at the tow lot. In total, over the course of three days in Colorado, I spent about a full day dealing with this and over 4 and a half hours of time on the telephone, which is outrageous. Not once did the host ever apologize for the hassle. The whole thing was terrible. Not sure I'll be using Turo again for the simple reason that if anything goes wrong, that customer service setup they have going is an absolute nightmare. When I went to Avis to pick up a replacement car, it was super smooth.

Artem's response

The repair shop diagnosed a faulty ignition coil as the cause of the misfire. The coil was replaced, and the vehicle is now operating normally.

The review also describes extensive delays with towing and refunds. Turo’s roadside assistance coordinated the towing, and Turo customer support handled the refund process. Those delays were separate from the vehicle’s diagnosed mechanical issue, which has been repaired.

Car was great and host was very responsive and helpful.
