Pick up of the car was easy, the car ran fine and had no issues

Pickup location was fine, car share lot 15-17 minute shuttle from airport. However the car had an odor that was either cigarettes or musty basement carpet from 1996. 5 different friends of mine I met up with over 24 hrs after renting it all noticed the smell when they came up to the car door. Host was responsive and not mean about it, but said the car has zero odor to them when it was cleaned. The smell was awful, plus in addition, the car rides rough, which is either because it's a Kia soul... So crap build from Korea that drives like a box over rocks, or it may need suspension looked at like shocks or struts. I dunno which, but it was not a pleasant rental so I cut the rental short by 2 days as I couldn't fathom driving it a second more.
