Car had a lot of space for 7 people

On the day of our rental, we picked up the vehicle at approximately 8:30 AM. Within a few hours, the check engine light began flashing and the vehicle started driving abnormally. At 2:10 PM, I contacted the host to report the issue and was instructed to go to an auto parts store to clear the codes myself. This was inappropriate, unsafe, and an unreasonable expectation during a paid rental.
Shortly after, at approximately 2:40 PM, the vehicle became inoperable and we were left stranded on the side of the road. We were forced to arrange a tow through Turo roadside assistance, which involved an unhelpful and frustrating interaction with a representative. We were repeatedly redirected between Turo and the host regarding responsibility, with no clear or timely support provided.
As a result, we lost use of the vehicle the same day it was rented, experienced significant disruption to our trip, and incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses for transportation. The vehicle was clearly not in safe or reliable condition at the time of pickup, and the handling of the situation by both the host and Turo support fell below acceptable standards.

Car was great. Just what we needed. Technology is dated (no Apple play), but expected for a 2013. Host was fantastic and very responsive! Not Host’s fault - typical of any Turo in Denver Airport - but pickup location is 25 min shuttle away from airport.
