Great car and a very easy rental experience. The 2018 BMW X5 is solid, drives confidently, and has good tires. It feels strong and planted on the road.
A few things to know: there’s a somewhat aggressive lemon/cleaner scent inside, and I couldn’t get the USB power to work, although that may have been the cable in the car. The connection is the older rectangular USB 2.0 style, not USB-C, so bring the appropriate cable. There’s a great MagSafe phone mount, which was really convenient. Also, there’s no Apple CarPlay, so don’t expect that feature.
The off-site parking was easy enough, but keep in mind it adds about 20 minutes to your airport trip, so plan accordingly.
Overall, I really liked the car and would absolutely look for this one again.
