I regrettably rented this vehicle for graduation, which was in Fort Wayne Indiana and required a bit of driving. I lost about a full day dealing with the car issues. The engine light was on due to a catalyst converter issue, the oil needed changing, and there was a stall in acceleration in stop and go traffic. Having little time to address the issues and lots to do I tried to be understanding and get the oil changed myself. I wish I'd left the vehicle. I wasn't able to spend mother's day with my son because I needed to drive him back to his campus if he stayed with me after graduation, but couldn't because of the car issues so we had to get him a ride with my brother which meant he had to leave the same day. Marino did make himself available and offered to swap vehicles but having noone available to help me on my end, because they all had to leave after the graduation dinner, I had to slowly make my way back to Algonquin from Fort Wayne. I was already swollen from my travels and all the driving so I had to wait another day to allow my legs some rest. When I did make it in the area, Marino didn't see my Turo message about the swap until 6 hours later when I had to leave and was already on the Toll road heading back to my parents in Chicago. So I was never able to swap and had to change many plans due to the inconvenience of the vehicle. I wish I'd had a better vehicle for my graduation and a better experience, but I didn't and can't say that I will ever work with a host in this manner again. Rentals are too expensive and my time was too short to have it eaten away and plans changed for car issues. Not happy with the outcome at all.

Prior to your rental, I spent over $600 repairing a check engine light concern and had the vehicle inspected before it was returned to service. When the light reappeared, I remained available throughout your trip and offered a vehicle swap. After your rental, GMC diagnosed and repaired the issue under warranty. The vehicle is now fully repaired, and I appreciate your recognition of my efforts to help.
