Booked a Model X a month in advance for a six-person family visit. Got a message forty minutes before pickup that the car wasn't available due to a tire issue they had just discovered that morning. The replacement Audi Q7 smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which the host admitted was already noted on their end but never disclosed to me before I took the car.

Six of us spent the day with that smell. The only compensation was a discount code that came out to about the same as the excess mileage charge I was hit with, so it netted to nothing. For a fleet this size, you'd expect better prep and better recovery when things go wrong.

We had a last minute change and had to switch out to a bigger vehicle. They were very accommodating and worked with me. They were able to have the car ready at the original time booked. Very positive experience and the Audi q7 booked was very nice

Worst car rental since the days of going to the rental car counter. This is not a rental from an individual (“Joshua”) but a car dealership! They parked the car a quarter mile from my inbound terminal saying that’s the only place they could park it. Not true. I had to haul my luggage all the way. Communications were awful - 30 minutes waiting at the car to get through to a new person (Natalie) who I figured out was slow to respond as she was most certainly working at the dealership and getting around to me when she had a second. Turo needs to do a better job of letting customers know if they’re renting from an individual (way, way preferable) versus a commercial entity. This is the worst rental of the 5 times I’ve used the service.
