The GLA 250 uses a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Unlike a traditional, smooth automatic, a DCT is essentially an automated manual transmission.
Because it uses mechanical clutches rather than a fluid torque converter, it is completely normal for it to feel a bit jerky, hesitant, or clunky at low speeds, especially in stop-and-go traffic.
Hope to see you again and this clarifies it, as we didn’t receive any reports from you during your trip. We would of clarified right away
