Tire pressure light was on at pickup. Owner claimed this was due to rain and told us to go to tire shop to check tires (this is implausible and her feigned surprise at the issue was surprising given this was raised in reviews of prior drivers - more likely is that the sensor’s batteries died and the owners did not want to pay to replace). Also told us the car underwent a safety check prior to our pickup, but then when we asked why the electric sliding doors didn’t work, owners told us they’d have to ask the prior driver who had returned the car the morning of our pickup. Captain seat seatbelt was broken and side mirror was cracked. All of this is understandable for an old car but should be disclosed upfront. Did not trust the owners given the response on safety checks and returned the car after one day. Would recommend staying away unless booking for a very short duration.
Hi Kayla. This 1-star review is a major overreaction. Over 14 years, we’ve built a great record. To clarify: The doors are manual, not broken electric ones. Weather changes trigger tire lights; advising an air check is standard practice, not a cover-up. Minor issues on an older van would’ve been fixed on day one if you hadn't abruptly left. Non-mechanic speculation doesn't change the facts. We pride ourselves on our hosting history and apologize that this trip didn't meet your expectations.

Car drove fine and got the job done but there was a mechanical sign that kept showing up during my entire trip. Owner said it was still feasible to drive with the it on so gratefully there was no issues. Other than that it was a good experience. Communication was good and pick up and drop off was easy.

As we discussed during your trip, extreme cold causes tire pressure to drop slightly, triggering the sensor. It is a standard safety notification, not a mechanical failure.
