The initial booking process was smooth, and the car itself worked perfectly for our family - it was spacious, clean, and drove well.
However, the reason I’m rating this experience a 3 out of 5 comes down to customer service. A few issues stood out:
When we arrived in Sarasota late in the evening, we had not received clear instructions on where the car was parked ahead of time. I had to reach out to get directions, which caused delays after a long day of travel with kids and luggage. On top of that, the car was parked about a 15-20 minute walk from the terminal, which was very inconvenient and difficult to locate.
After finally getting everything loaded and heading out of the parking lot, we were unexpectedly charged $16 for parking. This was frustrating because we were never informed that we would be responsible for parking fees. After looking into it, the car had been parked earlier that day (around 11am), while our reservation didn’t start until 10pm - so we ended up paying for parking time we didn’t use.
I reached out to Dennis about a refund for the parking fee. After several back-and-forth messages, he agreed to refund it.
However, it has now been two weeks, and I am still following up with no response.
Overall, while the vehicle itself met our needs, the lack of communication - both before pickup and after the trip - felt unprofessional and significantly impacted our experience.
Hey Brittany, I believe there may have been some misunderstandings on your end. You flew in on the busiest week of the year and we had to drop the car off early to insure that the car was ready for you a head of time. We have 9 cars and can’t meet every customer. $16 parking fee will be there whether we drop it 1 hr before or 24 hrs before, this is just part of the airport parking fee. I over communicated everything to you and replied to all your messages within minutes.
