Everything was great until the rear wheel suddenly started wobbling on the freeway and we pulled over to find 2 wheel nuts gone and the other 3 nuts were almost off the studs. I had my 4 kids and wife in the car. Very scary. That was just the beginning. The car was now unsafe to drive and was towed away. Turo assured me that another vehicle or ride would be found by them with no extra charge to get my family home the next 150 miles. That never happened. We spent the next 6 hours trying to get TURO to help us get home. We were left in a parking lot in the sun in auburn with 4 kids and an infant with no ride. I had to call a friend from an hour away at 930pm to come pick us all up and drive us back home.
Through the process of dealing with customer service at TURO they kept assuring me that a ride was coming and everything would be done without any extra charges. But nothing happened, no ride and no solution from TURO. Basically just left us stranded for hours 150 miles from home with the whole family and our newborn baby. Just completely ridiculous service. I don’t blame the host necessarily but the car was not safe from the start apparently the wheel nuts weren’t tightened properly. The real problem was the total lack of understanding from the Turo customer service as we sat waiting for hours in the heat. Completely dropped the ball.
