I only got this car because they knowingly gave me another car that had tire damage and I had to trade it out. Nothing bad about this car other than I paid for a better car and got this one because the other car they provided had major damage to the tire wall (appears the previous driver hit a curb hard and tore the tire wall but the host didn’t get it fixed before renting me the car).
Biggest complaint for this car - pickup/dropoff location at Old town transit center. If you’ve never been there, it’s a train station parking lot with free parking - but you have to walk almost a block across railroad tracks, past street vendors and homeless. Not terrible but I had 2 and a 5 year old and three pieces of luggage to haul. It was a nightmare. It took almost 1.5 hours just go get to the car because we had to wait so long for the shuttle and the shuttle was small and extremely tight.
For dropoff, I messaged and asked if I could drop off the car at a different location because of the challenges I experienced at pickup with kids, Amelia (who is absolutely terrible at customer service but always does it with a smile and exclamation points) told me I had to drop it off at old town transit unless I couldn’t find parking (it’s that busy there). If i couldn’t find parking, I could drop it off at a nearby Starbucks and “walk” to the airport (it’s 25 minutes!) or purchase an uber. I drove around old town transit parking lot for 10-15 minutes trying to get a parking spot but couldn’t get one, so then had to drive to the Starbucks, pay $30 for an uber to get to the airport. No clue why I couldn’t just drop it at the airport and pay the airport parking fees. This was my 2nd bad experience dealing with Amelia. She is really nice until you actually ask her for customer service. Then she becomes worthless.
Make sure to check before renting the car to figure out the dropoff location. Due to this and other major issues with this host, I would never use them again.
