The owner wrote on Father’s Day Sunday, the day before my 3 week trip started, to ask me to change the pickup location to 30 minutes further away, and when I said I would need until later that evening to confirm my ride could make that change for the next morning at 10am, he canceled the trip that I had booked for several months to take my family on a camping vacation to see the Great Lakes and attend a family reunion. After several hours of panic since no other vehicles large enough to accommodate us were available, and two phone calls to Turo customer service, I found this same vehicle listed again, at a much higher rate for time and also mileage. While I am thankful to Turo for matching my original price for the time, the higher mileage cost remained and I was still left with trepidation that this vacation would still be ruined since he was permitted to just cancel at any time for no reason except to extort a higher price.
I would never trust an important trip to Turo ever again, and I’d especially not trust Allan with an important reservation.
He had the balls to ask for a five star review!!!!!
