Communication with the host and pick up was very good. This is a well used minivan with wear and tear, but good maintenance. It has a lot of good space for a family to travel. Unfortunately, we were using it when the daily temperature was 95-100 degrees and the AC didn’t work well. We were all sweating like we were in a sauna.

I regret renting this car. The key fob died and locked us out of the car. The host had not cut the hidden key so we could not open the door. This car could strand you or lock your dog or child inside.
I notified the host that this was the case and he claimed the battery had been replaced recently, mostly downplaying the issue. It also cost $30+ to get the car out of the parking lot because the host had dropped the car off 19 hrs early in an hourly lot. I mentioned this to the host and he said, per Turo, parking is the renters responsibility.
The car was in fair shape. This was expected. I regret not paying more up front.

I'm very sorry about what happened. When I dropped off the vehicle, the key was working properly and everything was in good condition. If a malfunction occurred afterward, it was unfortunately beyond my control. Whenever I hand over a vehicle, I make sure everything is functioning correctly. That said, electronic components can sometimes fail unexpectedly.
Regarding the parking, I wasn't able to leave the vehicle at the exact time of your arrival due to personal commitments.
A older van that has some wear and tear but well taken care of. Pick up and drop off is always a breeze.
