Vehicle has door lock issues and needs CV joints/axles.

Carr has mechanical issues but It did get us around. Back up camera don’t work half the time either.

Do not use this car or host.
1. Not at the airport. I filtered Turo for “available at the airport” and this was on there. It is not. It is a 10-minute drive from the airport, which is difficult to do when you don’t have a car. Had to pay Lyft to get to and from, $40 total I hadn’t planned on.
2. Terrible customer service. 4 different co-hosts responded to me during our trip and never once did one do so after my first message. They waited until a second message to respond, and then would do so unhelpfully. It was as if they were trying to wait me out.
3. Key fob stopped working day 2 for lock and unlock. Only side door and rear hatch buttons worked. Had to use those then climb in to unlock. Not a deal breaker just slightly annoying, but I looked at past reviews that also mentioned key fob issues. So it’s a known thing they refuse to fix.
4. Loud grinding noise immediately upon pickup. Riding low. Day 3 morning came out to
a flat tire. Screw in it. They directed me to call Turo, who said since I did not purchase roadside assistance I would have to pay for a tow and tire replacement. I got the spare on and to a Firestone myself and replaced the tire. Firestone reinflated old tire and air did not leak immediately, which leads me to believe the screw was in the tire the whole time because the grinding noise reduced once the tire was replaced. They refused to reimburse for the brand new tire that is now on their van.
Avoid using this host if you can help it.
