Horrible experience. We went to the address listed and the car was not there. We had to drive another 15 min out to another shady location to get to the car.
When we did get to the car, the maintenance light was on and the dashboard showed “maintenance required.” Gas was half tank and there was an empty peanut butter cup and some random clutter. It just didn’t look like the car was prepped for rental (which is fine) . I also had to text the owner again to ask him where the keys were . He responded with “my uncles will give it to you,” and out come running his uncles from this warehouse . Mind you , the location was already kinda shady : industrial, warehouses, homeless tents , trash, abandoned, broken down cars.
What made us cancel the rental was when I started the car and began to reverse , the car made a loud noise from the brakes. I just did not feel comfortable and safe taking this car.
