I am formally documenting multiple safety and mechanical issues with this Turo-owned vehicle.
The air conditioning has been malfunctioning for 5 consecutive days in high 80s and low 90s heat plus humidity and we are not use to nor live in this area. We did not report this issue immediately because we are unaware of the severity. We have now confirmed the issue is worse than initially realized: while the front vents produce slightly cool air, the rear vents blow hot air directly onto our children and other family members creating a significant health risk. This Did not come to our realization until my mother sat in the back seat with the kids and let us know. We have been forced to turn the system off and drive with windows down.
The engine coolant level is below the minimum safety line. We provided photo evidence 24 hours ago, and the support agent advised us to continue driving the vehicle or take it to a dealership on our last day of vacation. Operating a vehicle in high heat with low coolant presents a serious risk or mechanical issues.
Turo Support confirmed and advised us to either locate a mechanic ourselves in a remote area or return the vehicle early. Neither option is reasonable given the circumstances.
As instructed, we will return the vehicle tomorrow. However, due to driving an unsafe and defective vehicle for the duration of our trip, I am requesting a substantial retroactive refund. Please attach this documentation to our active support case.

This guy is crazy!! We’ve had several thousand trips…all he was doing was trying to get a refund on the 13th day of his two week trip
The car was very spacious and clean. Gas mileage was a plus. We enjoyed the trip in your car.
