We rented the van to drive to visit family. It was comfortable and spacious for a long drive and pick up/drop off instructions were clear.
Unfortunately, we had issues with the key fob. When I walked into a gas station while it was running, the car repeatedly honked and the dash displayed a message that the “key fob has left the vehicle” while the key fob was still sitting on the center console with my spouse.
We later struggled on the trip to unlock the doors with either the fob or the physical key. I don’t know if the battery on it was dying or something, but it was a little nerve wracking traveling in a remote area with intermittent cell coverage. There was also a dash message saying an oil change was due.
Both issues were messaged to the owner, but we never received any response other than the auto-generated texts.

our Turo host was non-responsive during our trip. When we retrieved the car, the gas level was not all the way full, the car was not washed at all and was very dirty on the inside and outside…he sent pics of the vehicle at the car wash and it definitely was not washed. trash and wrappers inside, a used dental floss pick, ash of a cigarette or marijuana. car smelled like marijuana smoke and others have had this complaint on several reviews and owner keeps denying there is no smell. if more than a few complained of marijuana smell, and he keeps denying, theres an issue.
I've taken pictures and also brought this to his attention…no response, unprofessional.
contacted turo support with issues. would not rent from him
again.
