We had a very bad experience with this rental. From the beginning of our trip from Miami to Orlando, the car was clearly not in good condition. It had a strong vibration and an unusual noise while driving. Once we arrived in Orlando, a warning chime inside the car started going off, but we couldn’t identify the issue.
On our way back to Miami, one of the tires went flat on the highway. That’s when we realized how poor the condition of the tires was—they were extremely worn out and cracked. When we tried to replace the flat tire, we discovered that the car didn’t even have a spare tire.
My family and I were stranded on the side of the highway for five hours because the tow truck never arrived. Eventually, Turo allowed us to leave the car there and take an Uber home. We were still three hours away from Miami. To make matters worse, the owner stopped responding as soon as I asked about the missing spare tire.
The entire experience was chaotic, stressful, and dangerous. I would absolutely not recommend renting this car or dealing with this host.
