I have rented through Turo multiple times and understand that rental vehicles often have normal wear and tear. I have rented vehicles with scratches, dings, and cosmetic imperfections before and have never felt the need to file a complaint.

In this case, however, the vehicle’s condition differed substantially from what I expected based on the listing photos. After pickup, I discovered multiple areas of significant pre-existing body damage, including large dents, damaged body panels, and unrepaired collision damage that were not reflected in the listing photos I relied upon when making my booking decision.

I documented and reported the condition immediately after pickup with photos and video. Turo later reviewed the issue and required the vehicle to be removed from the platform pending inspection and repairs.

The vehicle was mechanically functional during my rental and completed the trip without major operational issues. My concern was not normal wear and tear. My concern was that the actual condition of the vehicle differed significantly from the impression created by the listing photos and from what I believed I was paying for when I booked the rental.
