Van was perfect for our family of five and all our luggage. Easy pick up and drop off with excellent communication with the host. Highly Recommended

Vehicle key fob was messed up due to a previous renter getting it wet. It wouldn’t unlock car well, but would lock randomly and open the side doors sporadically ( not very fun during a rating day in Kauai) Cosmetic damage to vehicle. Suspension made noise throughout trip. Owner was already aware of all of this. They did say I could contact Turo and swap vehicles but we tried to make the most of it to avoid cleaning out a vehicle and dealing with having to find a new one while on our trip.
The key fob ended up locking me out of the car while I was getting gas (yes my fault, should’ve remembered it was messed up) but something about being locked out of the car in the rain and having the owner tell me that I locked the car when I in fact did not, really was just the last straw for me trying to have a good attitude about this rental.
This was my first and last time renting with Turo. I’d rather wait at the rental car counter and get something that isn’t clapped out and has customer service.
We can’t really do much when the customer before swims with the fob. It’s either cancel the rental, or not, which we gave charles the option to do. Of course now he puts this sort of review in.
The van new fob now. We lifted this van two inches, which cause a slight creek in springs, but saves the undercarriage damage which has happened to others. We told him this too, but alas, charles had a bone to pick.
I don’t know how he “locked keys in car” but then opened it, and it’s our fault.

The tires were bald, which is super scary in the rain. The brakes were bad. The car was comfortable.
Both brakes and tires have been replaced.
