Honda Odyssey

I cannot in good conscience recommend this host. Problems arose which the host refused to rectify. One of the main problems was the host’s failure to provide the 2 car seats I requested when I first made the reservations. I was told 2 car seats would be available and I also sent multiple reminders that seats were needed for my 1-year-old and 4-year-old granddaughters. After our long flights from Honolulu to Las Vegas we found the van lacked the needed car seats. After calling the host, we were told to wait for 45 minutes for delivery or to drive to an auto repair shop about 13 minutes away. It took longer to find this unfamiliar place in an industrial area. The host left one car seat and one booster seat outside for our pickup. I called the host again and said this was unacceptable (4-year-old granddaughter was only 30 lbs.) and that we wanted a car seat delivered to the California Hotel because we didn’t want to risk my granddaughter’s safety. I felt this was a reasonable request. She refused and said the one car seat was “free anyway” and that because of my attitude that I should just leave the van there at the auto repair shop. This was around 9:00 pm in a dark street in an industrial area. I was incensed that the host did not even attempt to make good for their mistake and incompetence. The host later messaged and admitted she only had 1 car seat. It also took us over 15 minutes to get out of the turo lot because the ticket was not accepted at the ticket box at the exit, and we had to wait for the attendant to finally answer the call box. Communication was also a problem. I called the host’s phone number several times when we landed to get details of the van’s location, car seats confirmation. etc. (not provided by the time we landed) but there was no answer to my calls, causing unnecessary anxiety when traveling in a group including 2 young children. The information was finally messaged when we were at baggage claim. Unfortunately, based on this experience, this will be my one and only turo rental. It was disappointing to have such poor customer service in a city that relies on tourism.

Great experience! The car was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It drove perfectly, and the pickup and drop-off process was quick and easy. The host was friendly, responsive, and very helpful. I would definitely rent this car again and highly recommend it!
