The Toyota Sienna drove well and performed exactly as it should during our 4-day rental, but the condition at pickup was disappointing—there were broken trim pieces near the back seat, popcorn in the cushions, and even a sock in a cup holder. The listing advertised Android Auto, but I couldn’t get it to work (clearer instructions would have helped). I also returned the vehicle 90 minutes early with a full tank, yet was later charged a late fee, which Turo thankfully refunded after I reached out. Overall, the van functioned well, but better cleaning, minor repairs, and clearer communication would improve the experience.

Davalos Rentals was quick to respond when we flagged the wobble in the front right wheel of our Toyota Sienna. After driving overnight back to College Station at highway speeds, we discovered the tire had separated—not punctured by a nail as initially suspected. Although the owner hinted it might have been our fault, they nonetheless covered both the replacement tire and the installation, and remained cordial throughout. Their willingness to handle the situation professionally and cover the costs speaks to their commitment to customer care.

That said, I can’t overlook that this issue should have been caught during routine maintenance—especially given that Davalos maintains a fleet of vehicles. While their responsiveness and professionalism earn them high marks, the fact that we encountered such a safety concern on day one of our rental prevents me from giving a perfect score. Overall, I’d rate Davalos Rentals four out of five stars: they handled the problem responsibly and courteously, but a more thorough pre‐rental inspection would have made for a smoother experience.

Tire warning light came on even though tires were fine so that was a bit of a worry.
