The van did well on my trip. The AC worked great in the humid summer heat and there was more than enough space to carry the bins and luggage used to move my kid into college. The car was clean and smelled good. The host responded to questions and information in a timely manner.
The buttons on the steering wheel were worn so it was difficult to find the cruise control. I did find it, but I fear that if it gets more worn, no one will be able to know which buttons perform certain functions.
The driver’s side sliding doors did not open from the inside.
There was only one USB outlet for charging devices. I understand that this is an older vehicle so that was to be expected, but still disappointing that it wasn’t indicated in the description.
There was a rhythmic sound that occurred while driving. The host indicated it was a new AC fan. It felt related to the vehicle’s driving capabilities to me, but I’m not a mechanic. The brakes were squeaky at times.
There were a lot of visible cosmetic scratches on the exterior of the vehicle making it tedious to track when taking initial and final photos.
I would recommend that this vehicle get a little more mechanic attention and cosmetic repair before continuing to rent out. If not, it would be advisable to indicate in the vehicle description any existing cosmetic damage or mechanical issues.
