This was my first time using Turo. We rented a 2014 Honda Odyssey, which was exactly the type of car we needed for our trip. The host was always responsive — when I asked if the car had navigation after booking, he checked right away and got back to me, and he dropped the car off for us at JFK when we arrived, which was very convenient. There were a few challenges: the brakes didn’t feel quite right, a tire went flat during the trip (likely due to the age of the vehicle), and the return process was stressful. The host had planned to send someone to pick up the car at JFK, but when he was running late, he asked me at the last minute to park it myself. Finding parking in an unfamiliar airport during rush hour took me over an hour. Still, he reimbursed me for the tire and communicated throughout, and overall the rental worked out.
