Car was clean and pickup was on time. My problem was lack of communication when the car broke down on the highway to Orlando. A bad chemical smell was emitting from the vehicle and there was smoke coming out of the car. The car was also driving weird so we didn’t feel safe continuing the drive. Road rangers even assessed and said it wouldn’t be wise to continue driving the car. I requested a tow through turo/replacement car and the host cancelled it without talking to me or updating me. So essentially I was waiting for nothing. I couldn’t get a replacement car last minute either. Host told me they were driving to come pick up the car, when we are in the middle of no where. So I was very limited on how could I get to my destination safely. So essentially I would’ve been left on the side of the road when the host came. Because I couldn’t request a replacement car until the tow came or the host came. So I ended up having to drive to the next rest stop so I could attempt to request an uber from there instead on the highway. Which was a mission in itself since we were far from any towns. I wish there was better communication and status updates from the host on what the game plan was when the car broke down. Instead of me finding out when I call turo for an eta on the tow and they said it was cancelled.

I’m sorry, Kimberly, for the inconvenience. However, the waiting time and the requirement for you to remain with the vehicle were not decisions made by me; those are part of Turo’s procedures.
I also messaged you to ask how you wanted to proceed, but you contacted Turo and requested towing on your own. After that, we sent you a message letting you know that we were already on our way to pick up the vehicle. We also tried to contact you to offer a refund but you didn’t respond.
Un auto limpio sin ningún problema mecánico y se siente bien al manejo, definitivamente lo recomiendo y si necesitas recibir visitas en Miami este es una buena opción para transportarlos
