Perfect van to rent. It fit 6 of us

Pickup was easy. Drive was smooth and the gas mileage was better than expected. Only down side to vehicle is no Bluetooth/Android/Apple connection to the stereo so no on screen navigation. Won't knock star rating for that. Spacious inside, had rear seats folded down to pack for camping. Was able to fit A LOT of gear and riders were comfy. Drop off was easy as well.

Before pickup the hosts communicton was good. The van appeard to be in good conditon as described. It was clean and drove well. But it had a broken lift gate that impacted our travel, and the host knew the lift gate was working correctly.

I wanted this van because I knew it would fit my 6 passengers and our gear with easy loading, but that was not the case. The rear liftgate was malfunctioning. At first it wouldn't open manually or via the buttons. When I contacted the host, he said someone else had trouble with it, but he thought it was fine. We finally got it open, put in our luggage and drove off. We were only 3/4 mile down the road when the lift gate opened. Fortunately, none of the luggage fell out. It took 10 minutes to get the lift gate to close and stay closed. And that was the last time it opened for a week long trip. We had 9 bags that had to be loaded and unloaded over the back seat. The host offered to pay if we wanted to fix it, but we had camping reservations the next day and a tight schedule the rest of the week. I had to unload and reload the van 4 times over the week by dragging luggage over the middle and rear seats. I was a little disappointed in the host, and very disappointed the van was not working correctly. I understand that things happen, but using Turo doesn't give the renter any easy way to switch vehicles. A regular rental car company would have other vans to choose from.
