The pick up process was easy. Car was good for what we needed it for. Not in great condition, but had low expectations for a rental so we were okay with it. Smelled slightly of cigarette smoke, Lots of old snacks and crumbs deep in the seat, broken handles or levers, but again totally fine for what we needed. The real issue was with the owner and the return experience. He said he had free car washes at quick quack so we went as a courtesy to wash the car before returning. Membership was expired so I ended up paying out of pocket to vacuum. No big deal. Filled up the car and then drove maybe 10 minutes to drop off location. Later, I get charged for refueling because there was room for 2.6 gallons in the 20 gallon tank.. so I get charged $30 for him to top off the fuel. Annoying, but okay. So I share my disappointment that he was not as flexible as I was with the car wash situation etc and then he proceeds to make up a story about how I returned the car with chips and soda and toothpicks? He included photos that clearly came from a different trip. He also claimed I removed the middle seats. Thankfully I had time stamped photos of the condition of the car when I returned it. He is either delusional, or a scam artist. Nice, until there was a minor conflict and instead of being professional and communicating, he was quite vile. I’d say rent if you need it because it’s a good deal, but make sure to take very detailed photos as I did, because you may need them to defend yourself later.
Sad to see a completely fabricated review. You submitted your own pictures showing the van was under full when returned, and before I even responded and sent me a 3 paragraph notice accusing me of falsifying the fuel fill up etc and saying I do this regularly to other customers for profit. Even though I let the cleaning fee go because you paid for a car wash, you proceeded to submit false pictures that don’t match up to location or timestamp. Fortunately Turo has the proof and this will be repor

Russell’s van was a great choice for our family of 6. We have 3 kids in car seats and it fit all four of our kids and us and all our stuff from the airport. It was also reasonably priced.
