I recently rented a TURO car (Honda Odyssey - 8 passenger) and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and straightforward, with clear pricing and options. The car was clean, well-maintained, and ready on time. The pickup and drop-off process was quick and hassle-free, with friendly and professional staff assisting me throughout.
The vehicle performed great during my trip — reliable, fuel-efficient, and comfortable. No hidden fees or surprises, and everything was explained clearly upfront.

I do not recommend for families. What shouldn’t be a long story as short as possible: my family, including infant, was left stranded at the airport after a red eye flight for hours due to the host neglecting to provide the car seat that was booked with our reservation. After checking in, and noting it was missing, we messaged the host through Turo, text, and phone call with no response for five hours (other than an automated info message). The host did not offer to bring the missing car seat, which forced us to send part of our group out into an unfamiliar area, to try and find a store open, to purchase one while others continued waiting at the airport. The host apologized for the inconvenience and refunded the $25 car seat fee through Turo but refused to reimburse us for the price of the car seat that was necessary for travel. Put plainly, we were delivered a car that did not meet the rental agreement that was not drivable with an infant, yet we as the renters had to foot the cost for the host’s mistake. Based on this experience, I would book with caution. The van itself was great, and I imagine that if you do not need any help or support from the host your trip would be smooth, but renter beware.
