The driver that was dropping off our vehicle was involved in an accident about half an hour before we were supposed to receive the car. The host got in touch with us, but communication was extremely scattered. I could tell they had a lot going on with other rentals and trying to figure out how to get a new car to us. They have multiple drivers and multiple vehicles, so they were able to sort it out eventually, but not without some headache to our plans. It actually caused us to miss some of our scheduled activities since we ended up being several hours later than anticipated because of the vehicle exchange.
The Turo process of changing vehicles and the billing associated with it was also unclear and difficult to navigate. The van we received was in very good condition and like new. It was exactly what we needed, but unfortunately, our experience was really set off on the wrong foot with the lack of communication around the accident that had happened.
