Trip was great until the very end.
No issue with car, but Host messaged us 45 minutes before drop off reminding us of some final instructions and then also threw in to make sure we get the car washed…
Of course we tidied it before returning and would never return a rental in dirty condition. At the time he messaged, there would be no time to go through a whole wash without being late and possibly incurring a late fee. Plus that’s extra cost on our end that was never expected.
I told the host above, and included a screenshot of the drop off instructions that states we did not need to wash the car. Upon further searching into this, it’s also fully against Turo’s rules.
I just want to make it known that host’s cannot and should not be doing this to their renters, especially right as they’re driving to drop the car off. That adds a high element of anxiety at the end of a trip for no reason since it’s against Turo guidelines.
Again, the car overall was great.

The wash was never intended to be a requirement or an additional expense—it was simply an optional courtesy, as this vehicle has a prepaid membership that allows guests to wash it for free. Guests are never expected to risk being late to wash the vehicle. I appreciate your feedback and will make this clearer in future messages.
