We really enjoyed the ID. Buzz—it was comfortable, spacious, fun to drive, and worked wonderfully for our trip. My only caution for future renters is to research the charging situation before renting if you have never driven an electric vehicle. I didn’t realize there were different types of charging plugs and stations, or that not every charger—including many Tesla chargers—would be compatible with this vehicle. Finding the correct type of fast charger and understanding the different charging speeds was confusing and added some unexpected time to our trip. A brief charging guide with the compatible plug type, recommended apps, and nearby fast-charging locations would be extremely helpful for first-time EV renters. Overall, we really liked the vehicle.
