This was my first Turo experience and overall Rauhen made it a good first experience! The van was spotless at pickup and Rauhen provided really helpful directions for navigating the Sea Tac parking garage. It was a little over 10 minutes late, which might not have been a big deal for some folks but our flight got in early and every extra minute waiting in that garage with melting down kiddos felt like an eternity. This Honda Odyssey was loaded with every imaginable feature but one of those features was less than helpful- for some reason every time you shift gears, the side mirrors shift down. So I was constantly adjusting the mirrors, and had to readjust with the car in drive. It became a headache after 4 days. And the drivers seat scooted all the way back when the van was put in park, which wound up bumping the car seat and I had to readjust that several times as well. This was somewhat specific to my trip, but I found the Turo process of taking all the pictures difficult to complete in the dark and crowded parking garage. Rauhen provided super clear and detailed instructions for drop off, but the nature of the parking garage and check out process made it somewhat impossible to return on time- I got charged extra for parking because I entered the parking garage 25 minutes before the trip ended. But it took 25 minutes to find parking, get unpacked, take the necessary pictures, etc. So it seems like you’ll either have to get their early or finish check out late- I wish there was a bit more buffer built in. Despite these issues, the van was clean and spacious, the price was better than a traditional rental car and Rauhen was a helpful host. So I think I would try it again in the future!

We’re glad you found the van spotless and our instructions helpful. The mirror and seat positions are customizable settings that could have been adjusted or disabled but the renter didn’t adjust it. Guests can also modify their return time in Turo so our team can plan accordingly. We always do our best to provide clear instructions and a smooth experience, but unfortunately we cannot anticipate a guest’s change in timing without being notified. This review is quite unfair and an outlier.
Excellent vehicle, drove like a dream and the host was super accommodating! Would absolutely rent again!
