I strongly advise anyone to avoid this host. The experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The car was given to me with only half a tank of gas, and I had to pay for a full detail because of how dirty it was at pickup. The host also tried to blame me for pre-existing damage to the tire, which was both dishonest and frustrating.
What made this rental even worse was the host’s behavior. He made it clear that his “private” bookings take priority over Turo reservations, even if you’ve paid through the app. That is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to loyal Turo members.
On top of everything, I was dealing with a death in the family, and instead of being able to grieve, I was harassed and even threatened with the possibility of losing my Turo account. No guest should ever be treated like that.
I would not trust this host, and I absolutely would not rent from him again. He will put false claims on you.
Thanks for submitting a false review. As a host it is MY Job to ensure that my guests are safe on the road. Everything that was mentioned is completely false. This is absolutely incorrect. He left my vehicle abandoned smelling like pot at the shop with a flat tire and damaged. Richard neglected my vehicle and never informed me about the incident as he is still denying it. I appreciate your review and i strongly advise all my host to NOT rent him a vehicle. All of my vehicles 100% clean. 😊
