Overall, my experience with this rental was disappointing. The vehicle drove rough and didn’t feel as smooth as I expected. It also has an aftermarket radio/display that made connecting to Apple CarPlay difficult. Even when I was able to connect, the audio was inconsistent, and CarPlay didn’t always stay connected.
The biggest issue was the battery. The vehicle failed to start during my trip, which was a major inconvenience. To the host’s credit, he responded promptly, came out to jump-start the car, and later replaced the battery. I appreciate his effort to resolve the issue.
However, the mechanical problem significantly impacted my trip, and because of my work schedule, I wasn’t able to exchange the vehicle even though I would have preferred to. While the host was responsive, the overall condition and reliability of the vehicle made for a less-than-ideal rental experience.

Solid rental. German, the hosts identifier, was great in responding to me when I had questions. I rented the 2015 Benz and he added a nice screen with GPS-Radio and all that bundled in. Syncing a phone to a different car, especially a European car if you don’t have one, is different than you are used to. German was very quick to share videos to assist with the nominal issues I had. His add on device was very adaptive to my iPhone and although I didn’t figure out how to get the radio to work, the GPS worked well. Car is very comfortable and has a solid suspension and no mechanical concerns. It has about 87k miles on it, so it’s still has a lot of dependable life left. AC worked well and thank God because I’m a Northern man not used to Africa Hot weather. I would rent this car again if it was just 2 people or less. Thank you German for being flexible and providing a worry free dependable transportation. I understand why German gets 5 star ratings.
